Kicking Off Another Year of PropelHer Mentoring

Yesterday, we launched this year’s PropelHer Mentoring Programme with an in-person workshop, bringing together our mentors and mentees as they begin their mentoring journey.

Since launching in 2021, PropelHer’s Mentoring Programme has supported more than 230 mentoring pairs. Its success is a testament to the fantastic mentors and mentees who have shaped the programme over the years and helped build it into such a valuable part of our community. We are incredibly proud of how it has grown.

A real highlight of this year’s workshop was our mentoring panel discussion, where Fiona Taaffe, Ronan Kelleher, Kira Mungovan and Marie Louise Heavey shared thoughtful and honest reflections from both mentor and mentee perspectives. The conversation explored what mentoring is and is not, how to build trust early on, how to navigate challenges if a pairing does not feel quite right at first, and how both mentors and mentees can get the most from the experience through openness, preparation, curiosity and trust.
