Great Ethiopian Run: Empowering Women & Girls Through Sight
This year's dedicated theme is Empowering the Next Generation Through Sight: A Focus on Women & Girls. Together, we will shine a spotlight on the power of sight in unlocking education, independence and opportunity for women and girls.
For many women and girls in Ethiopia, access to education, opportunity and economic independence depends on access to vision care. Preventable vision problems are holding them back from reaching their full potential.
As PropelHer celebrates 10 years of advancing women in our industry, this is our moment to come together and extend that impact beyond our sector by standing with women and girls in Ethiopia, where restored sight can open the door to learning, leadership and independence.
As part of this partnership, PropelHer is sending a delegation to take part in this year's run to raise vital funds for Orbis’ sight-saving programmes and to witness firsthand the impact of their work in rural Ethiopia.
When a girl can see clearly, she can learn confidently.
When a mother can see clearly, she can support her family.
When communities invest in eye health, they invest in the next generation.
